Short answer
Florida interns can make a Psychology Today directory profile. Headway, Grow Therapy, Alma, Rula, and SonderMind require a full license for their Florida provider networks. Zocdoc’s public provider pages did not confirm intern eligibility, so ask Zocdoc before paying to list.
A directory listing is different from insurance credentialing. Always show your full registered-intern title as required by section 491.0149, Florida Statutes. Confirm the platform’s current rules for your own credential.
Which platforms can an intern join now?
The table uses each platform’s own eligibility or signup page, checked September 30, 2026. A “no” refers to its listed provider network, not whether an employer can use separate tools.
| Platform | Florida intern? | What you need or should check | Our review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Headway | No for Florida supervisory billing | Headway’s supervised billing pilot lists New York and Texas, not Florida. Its Florida license list governs independent providers. | Headway review |
| Grow Therapy | No | Florida accepted licenses include LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, and other full credentials, not RMHCI, RCSWI, or RMFTI. | Grow review |
| Alma | No | Alma says it is only available to fully licensed clinicians. | Platforms comparison |
| Rula | No | Rula’s provider signup requires a listed full professional license. | Platforms comparison |
| SonderMind | No | SonderMind requires independent licensure. | Platforms comparison |
| Psychology Today | Yes, for a directory profile | Psychology Today publishes verified Florida RMHCI profiles. Use the full intern title and disclose supervision. | Psychology Today review |
| Zocdoc | Unconfirmed | Its public signup and help pages do not state a Florida intern policy. Ask about RMHCI, RCSWI, or RMFTI before paying. | Platforms comparison |
Does Headway’s supervised billing pilot include Florida?
No. Headway’s current pilot page names New York and Texas. A Florida RMHCI should not assume that program applies here. Headway’s Florida accepted-license list describes independent provider access. Check again if the pilot expands.
How can an intern use a directory safely?
List your exact Florida registration and full intern title. Say who supervises your work where the directory asks for it. Check with the directory about verification and with your supervisor about referrals, fees, and records. A profile does not grant an independent license or insurance panel status.

Frequently asked questions
Can an RMHCI join Headway in Florida?
Not through Headway’s current supervised billing pilot. Its public pilot page lists New York and Texas. Check Headway for updates before applying.
Can interns join Grow Therapy in Florida?
Grow’s Florida accepted-license list does not include RMHCI, RCSWI, or RMFTI. It lists full licenses such as LMHC, LCSW, and LMFT. Check again after full licensure.
Can I list on Psychology Today before I am fully licensed?
Yes. Psychology Today displays verified Florida registered-intern profiles. Use your correct full intern title and make supervision clear.
Can I list on Zocdoc as a Florida intern?
We could not verify that from Zocdoc’s public provider pages. Ask Zocdoc to confirm your exact registration before spending money. Do not assume a general provider signup means intern eligibility.
Does a directory profile let me bill insurance independently?
No. A directory provides visibility, not a full license or payer credentialing. Follow the Florida Board’s rules and your payer’s terms.
